@RTSnyderCut Statement
The ReleaseTheSnyderCut (@RTSnyderCut) cross-platform social media accounts are operated and supported by a group of prominent and less prominent members of the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut movement. The purpose of the RTSC accounts is to support, promote, and inspire a unified fanbase towards achieving the goal of releasing the SnyderCut of Justice League. We provide assistance in organizing, scheduling and promoting positive initiatives towards this end.
The SnyderCut movement is a sweeping, global collection of individuals made up from a diverse set of geographical, cultural, social and professional backgrounds, who all share a common passion for the powerful art of Zack Snyder and a desire to see his vision for the Justice League vindicated along with the hard work of all of the creatives who worked so hard on the original film.
Inspired by all of the activism over the past year and more, primarily driven by Fiona Zheng, we came together to run this project to ensure that there would continue to be a central hub of positivity around which future activists could organize and help to make a difference. In Fiona’s absence there had been a noticeable void in the movement’s ability to organize fan activities at significant scale, which in the past has been the best way to apply pressure to Warner Bros. Pictures. While many blog sites and YouTube channels who are supportive of Zack and the SnyderCut continue to provide updates and progress on SnyderCut related news, leaks, etc., and have helped spread awareness of the significant changes to the film, the movement has always been most effective when regular everyday fans have COME TOGETHER, taken initiative and driven #ReleaseTheSnyderCut activism collectively. From writing articles supportive of Zack and his works on https://forsnydercut.com; demonstrating outside Warner Bros. Studios; driving fundraisers for important causes such as Suicide Awareness & Prevention; prominently supporting Zack at various ComicCon events; successfully executing worldwide letter writing and phone call campaigns to Warner Bros; flying a prominent #ReleaseTheSnyderCut banner over WB Studios; co-ordinating a worldwide video message campaign to WB and AT&T across social media platforms; discovering and supporting several artists & creatives who have worked on the film; to finally exposing the definite existence of the SnyderCut itself – we have achieved a lot over the past year and we have a lot to be proud of. Warner Bros. has noticed our movement and has feared us to the point where they contrived an article in a prominent mainstream news outlet – the intent of which was to purposely mislead the public, mischaracterize and discredit the individuals interviewed, and ultimately put an end to our movement. They failed. Our movement has gone from strength to strength, because ultimately the truth is on our side.
These things happened because we stood together unified for positive change and in support of powerful art. But more work is to be done. This is why we must continue to organize and support the grassroots activism of this movement.
The recent successful video message campaign to WB and AT&T is a prime example of the benefits of having a single unity account. This hub helped faciliate communication between the organizers of the event and as we continue to grow as a community our ability to drive more large scale impactful activism will further increase.
The RTSC accounts are here to inspire others to follow in the footsteps of those in the movement who’ve already taken action and helped to make a difference. We can all be heroes! We are here to support our movement’s renewed activism and help organize future events on a global scale, continue to help bring awareness to important causes, and finally achieve this long-awaited victory for creative and artistic integrity in filmmaking.
