‘Justice League’: Fans Raise Over $11,000 To Promote The Zack Snyder Cut At Comic-Con
Fans of the DC Extended Universe and director Zack Snyder have taken a brand new step in their campaign to convince Warner Bros. to release the Zack Snyder director’s cut of Justice League. A Go Fund Me campaign has now raised over $11,000 to promote the desired release of the film at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.
The theatrical cut of Justice League remains a point of contention for many fans of the DC Extended Universe. While some enjoyed Justice League and its means to course-correct the franchise into more lighthearted fare, many have expressed dislike for the film for not following through on the original vision that director Zack Snyder had in mind before Warner Bros. decided to change the trajectory of the franchise as well as the director’s departure from the project following a personal family tragedy.
Nearly two years after Justice League hit theaters, many fans have campaigned on social media for Warner Bros. to release the original cut of the film as approved by Zack Snyder. Thus, the hashtag #ReleaseTheSnyderCut was born and became a popular rallying cry from fans eager to see the Zack Snyder version of the film that would likely be different from the theatrical edition.
